About the Course
The India BioImaging (IBI) Train-the-Trainers Course at IIT Hyderabad is a first-of-its-kind course in India designed specifically for imaging core facility professionals—including directors, imaging scientists, facility managers, technical staff, and other professionals involved in microscopy training, day-to-day operations, and the management of core imaging facilities.
This intensive, interactive five-day course will equip participants with the knowledge and skills to:

Teach the fundamental principles of light microscopy effectively and with confidence

Design and deliver engaging, hands-on microscopy training programmes

Guide researchers through image analysis and data interpretation workflows

Apply best practices in imaging facility management and user support

Conduct effective scientific consultations and assist with experimental planning

Foster collaborative and sustainable bioimaging communities

Build productive, ethical, and mutually beneficial partnerships with industry

Develop and strengthen local microscopy training ecosystems within their institutions
The course combines lectures, practical demonstrations, hands-on assignments, exchange of experiences, and group discussions, providing participants with opportunities to learn from both experts and fellow imaging professionals.

Who Should Apply?
This course is intended for imaging core facility professionals (directors, imaging scientists, managers, technical staff, etc.) who are regularly involved in microscopy training, day-to-day operations, and/or the management of imaging facilities.
Practical Information:
The course is limited to 25 participants. Please note that applications without a letter of motivation will not be considered for selection.
Registration:
Registration fees for selected candidates: INR 16500.00 **
(inclusive of food and accommodation)
**Discounted fees for the Bioimaging Society, India members.
**The BioImaging Society members are eligible to apply for the travel grants (limited in number).
The registration fee covers course materials, breakfasts, meals, coffee breaks, and accommodation. Lodging will be arranged in double-occupancy rooms at IIT Hyderabad guest house. Participants are responsible for booking and covering their travel expenses.
