About India BioImaging:
India BioImaging (IBI), the growing Indian research infrastructure for imaging technologies in biological and biomedical sciences was initiated in 2012 with a vision to democratize access to cutting-edge microscopy technologies and harmonize training opportunities across India. Today, we are committed to revitalizing the IBI community by uniting bioimaging stakeholders nationwide. Our objective is to elevate the standards and capabilities of Indian research by promoting the exchange of microscopy knowledge, encouraging research innovation, and sharing resources and expertise in the field.
Following a landmark revival meeting in December 2024 at IISER Pune—organized in partnership with Global BioImaging—IBI is rapidly gaining momentum. Visit Home Page for more information. IBI is now a growing national network uniting 22 leading imaging cores from premier research and clinical institutions across India—spanning both government and private sectors.

1st Annual Meeting of IBI:
IBI has gained tremendous momentum since its inaugural meeting at IISER Pune in December 2024. We are excited to announce the upcoming India BioImaging Annual Meeting 2025 (IBIAM2025), scheduled for December 11th and 12th, 2025, at JSS AHER, Mysuru, India.
Meeting Themes:
Recent Advances and Innovations in Microscopy, Imaging Infrastructure Development & Global
Collaborations
The primary focus of this gathering is to foster collaboration within the bioimaging community in India. Specifically, the IBI aims to:
1. Devising unified microscopy training programs across India.
2. Developing advanced Train-the-Trainer programs to enhance operational, managerial, and technical
excellence.
3. Collaborative solutions for image data storage & analysis.
4. Explore mechanisms to access existing imaging facilities.
5. Fostering local and global collaborations.
We firmly believe that by convening facility managers, imaging scientists, and decision-makers from prominent imaging cores across India, we can formulate a unified national strategy to propel the IBI community to a world-class standard. Hence, we are inviting you to join us at this meeting.
Together, we can work towards achieving our national goals. You can also help us to reach out to your region's imaging community, who might be interested in joining the meeting.
